SPEICHERSTADT

Speicherstadt is a city quarter in Hamburg, on the riverside of Elbe. The buildings, originally built as warehouses in the 19th century, fulfilled their original function up until the 1950s, but the quarter has become one of the city’s main cultural hubs by now. The warehouses were built of a typical red brick and the originally closed area has become open – this is what the logo refers to.
